Mission Statement
Hydrosun Hydroponics, Inc.’s (HHI) mission is two fold...
1) HHI intends, through science and innovation, to produce and market locally-grown, safe, contaminant free, superior quality fresh leaf lettuce for the restaurant, institutional, and retail markets.
2) HHI’s corporate headquarters will provide greenhouse support and training while cultivating new target markets, evaluating potential growing sites, and working with communities to bring local produce production to their area.
HHI intends to establish itself through integrity, exemplary service, and a reputation for the highest quality products and systems.
What We Do
Hydrosun Hydroponics, Inc. is dedicated to producing the safest, freshest lettuce under the sun. The lettuce is grown in greenhouses to ensure all growing conditions are meticulously controlled.
Quality
Every head of lettuce is grown with controlled light, temperature, humidity, CO2, and nutrients so each head of lettuce is uniform and of the highest quality. Hydrosun Hydroponics lettuce and leafy greens are known by produce buyers throughout Minnesota for unrivaled taste, quality, and freshness.
Food Safety
Growing lettuce in a greenhouse means that strict food safety protocols can be used at each step of the growing process.
History
Hydrosun Hydroponics was founded twenty years ago by Steve and Jean Froehlich. Steve is a greenhouse engineer who has designed and built hydroponic greenhouses throughout North America. He has also consulted with hundreds of hydroponic growers on horticulture, nutrient formulations, environmental controls, and greenhouse design. For the last twenty years, Hydrosun Hydroponics has also grown and marketed lettuce, tomatoes, leafy greens, and green beans. Hydrosun produce has loyal customers throughout Minnesota.
Hydrosun has the following departments:
• Greenhouse engineering.
• Hydroponic horticultural consulting.
• Greenhouse vegetable production.
• Produce sales and marketing.
• Research and development.
Hydrosun Expansion Plans
Hydrosun currently is headquartered in Minnesota, but our plans for rapid expansion should bring this delicious fresh produce to retailers and wholesalers throughout the United States in the near future.
